MONTHLY TOURISM STATISTICAL RELEASE, JUNE 2026

Zanzibar recorded 69,605 international visitors in June 2026, an increase of 3.1 percent compared with 67,496 visitors in June 2025 and increase of 73.4 percent compared with 40,151 visitors recorded in the preceding month (May 2026). European tourists dominated the market by accounting for 61.9 percent of the total visitors in June 2026. Country-wise, Germany dominated the tourism market by accounting for 7.9 percent of all visitors entered in June 2026, followed by French (7.2 percent), while New Japan less than one percent (0.2 percent) the least.
