TOURISM STATISTICAL RELEASE NOVEMBER 2025

Zanzibar recorded 72,833 international visitors in November 2025, an increase of 8.6 percent compared with 67,049 visitors in November 2024 and decrease of 16.0 percent compared with 86,740 visitors recorded in the preceding month (October 2025).

European tourists dominated the market by accounting for 73.1 percent of the total visitors in November 2025. Country-wise, Italy dominated the tourism market by accounting for 12.2 percent of all visitors entered in November 2025, followed by Germany (7.7 percent), while Japanese recorded less than one percent (0.1 percent), the least. 

The data shows that in November 2025, 68,223 visitors, equivalent to 93.7 percent of the total visitors entered through the Airport. 54,263 visitors entered by international flights and 13,960 by domestic flights. The remaining 4,610 visitors entered through the seaport, 4 visitors entered through a cruise ship and 4,606 entered through ferries from the Tanzania Mainland.
