MONTHLY TOURISM STATISTICAL RELEASE, JULY 2026

Zanzibar recorded 107,801 international visitors in July 2026, an increase of 9.6 percent
compared with 98,370 visitors in July 2025 and increase of 54.9 percent compared with 69,605
visitors recorded in the preceding month (June 2026).

European tourists dominated the market by accounting for 56.4 percent of the total visitors in
July 2026. Country-wise,Italy dominated the tourism market by accounting for 8.1 percent of
all visitors entered in July 2026, followed by British (6.8 percent), while New Japan less than
one percent (0.1 percent) the least.
